When sales people are afraid to blog

I met the whole sales team of an international company few days ago and I've been very impressed to see how they were scared about the idea of blogging.

6 people were attending the meeting which was dedicated to the launch of a user club and it's blog. We were trying to recrute some sales people to animate part of the blog through a specific category in which they could give tips, orientation, news to their client on the way they could improve their use of the product this company is selling through the world.

The first reaction of the sale team was negative, as they are afraid to see their client talking about prices or problems they might have when using company's product, rather then sharing together feedback that might be much more constructive and usefull for the sale team itself.

What better CRM tool can we provide than a blog to get immediate inputs, feedback from users ? If a company has to choose one single kind of public to talk to , who should it choose ? Client of course. And who speaks to the client: sales team.

To all the CEO Bloggers: wake up and make Business!

Cyrille

We are more than 60 CEOs on this page.
Most of us do not know what to say or what to do with this blog (me first).
I propose something : let’s try to make business connexions !

Please write who and where you are, what your company does, your ambitions, your key benefits, your markets, your expectations, the things you propose and the things you need. Then, may be some of us could “start a business conversation” and see how this blog would allow us to discover each other, in France and all over Europe (World?).
I’m sure that everybody here is convinced by the blog power, that’s why we have one.
So let’s use this tool for what it is: a media between people, worlds, companies, etc.
