As for "leaks" finding their way through the blogsphere, it's a very big deal.

And unknown to many, a blog posting is often quickly spidered by Google, becoming a high-preference listing when it comes to a Google search.

So... yes, you're right. As PR professionals, we NEED (HAVE TO) be blog-centric, and really focus on getting content in, parsing content that is floating (damage control) and ensuring that our clients have the right information at the right time... and blogs are a critical piece of that equation.
